Server admins can now create announcements that appear at the top of the page. Pinned announcements stay at the top, and you can set expiry dates.

The thing turns out to be a troll. As it stumbles towards you, you sit there, not moving. The troll grabs you, and takes you back through the trap door. Inside is his little home, with a large cauldron in the middle of the room sitting atop a blazing fire. The troll tosses you in, and you are cooked alive. a little while later, the troll enjoys his delicious meal.
